You twisted the poll question to fit with what you wanted to say. The poll question has nothing to do with the KCBS, it's about individual contests. An individual contest can decide to eliminate completely or drastically reduce payouts - if one did, would you still cook it? My answer is yes, we would still cook in the contests we cook if they eliminated the payout. In fact, I wish Marshall, Missouri would offer to continue their exceptional contest in '08 with a drastically reduced or even completely eliminated payout.

Sorry, but no, I don't agree that most barbecuers compete "for possibility of winning a monetary prize." I think most of them compete for the fun and camaraderie, and any money is a bonus. But maybe I'm just dreamin' on that one. Times have changed.
