At the risk of drawing fire for expressing an opinion let me say that I don't believe the problem is with the pellets per se. I think where the opposition comes from is that these cookers are deemed by KCBS to not violate the electric heat source rule. This is technically correct however, if you unplug them they get cold, ie will not cook. To alot of people that makes them "electric cookers".

I don't know enough about the entirety of the situation to support or oppose any kind of KCBS ban. I believe that would probably ultimately hurt our organization.
