They were seen and used in there first event in 88 I believe. They were used in the pacific NW first. I started using them in 1990. The rules have been the same before that. The funny thing is the rules weren't changed to make them legal. They just fit the rules. Like I told Pat, I was laughed at when I first started using them. It sure is nice to see all the attention they get these days.
