The use of gas grills in a commercial or in individuals back yard where I assume the owners have adequate liability coverage is one thing however, sanctioning their use in the close confinements of a BBQ contest is another. While I am sure one can find accidents associated with all methods of cooking, I have found no references to explosions using wood fired pits. I have only found references to grease and lighter fires, which I think would harm only the operator. Things can be made fool proof but unfortunatly not damn fool proof. Why would KCBS wish to have this exposure? Is the profit to be gained worth it?
